Flower Medicine Bar Soap

To reconnect to the sweetness and beauty of life, the inner and outer blooming, and to repair, moisturize and nourish skin

Flower Medicine has roots that are wide and deep. Each flower brings a different healing, reminds us of a different part of ourselves that we can tend to, and shows us the many ways flowers can be. Each flower used in this bar of soap has a different spiritual and physical benefit for the body, which combined makes one heck of an amazing soap and spiritual ally.

Lavender: A flowering plant that comes out of thick, strong stalks that are just as fragrant as the flowers. Lavender is the queen of calm, with a medicinal scent that truly rewires the brain and stops us in our tracks. Anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and calming for both the nervous system and skin, she is an ally of hardiness and elegance.

Yarrow: Yarrow is traditionally used as a medicine that stops excessive bleeding or as a first aid kit. I utilize this “aid” in soap for our skin as well as the bleeding that we might feel from a wounded heart. Yarrow is abundant, strong, and sweet. Her aroma catches me off guard continuously and invites us to slow down and heal.

Chamomile: Chamomile is an ally in digestion. Both her flowers and green spindly leaves are fragrant and sweet. Chamomile not only aids in digestion, but is a sweet little flower that brightens and clears. Seeing chamomile reminds us of our own sunshine. In soap, chamomile lightens and brightens both our soul and skin as well as calms the skin.

Rose: Rose reminds us of our softness as well as our boundaries. She is fragrant, velvety, calming, and invoking. Rose in soap helps us heal the skin and heart and connection to ourselves and our body.

More than just a healing ally, each soap has a foundational base of oils and butters that also work together to be a healing soap for the skin.

Olive Oil: Cleanses as well as moisturizes. I soak dried eucalyptus, sage, pine, rose, chamomile, mullein, mugwort, lavender, marshmallow and rosemary in olive oil for two months to extract anti-aging, calming, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties from the plants so that the soap is just as healing for the skin as it is for the spirit. All herbs I either grow, forage, or buy from local farms. Truly farm to shower soap. :)

Coconut Oil: A great cleanser for the skin and makes for a harder bar

Cocoa Butter: Soothes dry or itchy skin and deeply moisturizes and makes for a longer lasting bar

Shea Butter: Reduces signs of aging as well as moisturizing

Mango Butter: Has moisturizing properties, helping to hydrate and soften skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and soothe irritated skin. Can help protect the skin from environmental damage, promote healing, and may even offer some UV protection

Avocado Oil: Helps with eczema and acne

Castor Oil: Reduces inflammation and can help with acne

Locally sourced Spring Water

I live near a beautiful spring that locals have been collecting as drinking water for years. I have never tasted water so pure and life giving. Each soap is made with this same spring water, which we pray to and give gifts to every time we go. This is truly a labor of love and the energy of the water is pure and loving.

Packaging

The labels for every soap is made out of recycled paper. I make every label from scratch and print it out at home with an eco friendly printer. For this reason, the label may not be what you see at stores, but is able to be recycled. I reuse packaging from past orders I myself have made and reuse bags I also was given as a way to reduce, reuse and recycle. You will find each package has its own charm!

Ritually made in small batches on ceded Lenape land. Always intentionally worked with, prayed over, and made with offerings and the permission and collaboration of the plants and their want to be with us in many forms.
