When I first made this soap, I did not expect it to be as healing as it actually is.
My original intention was to make a natural exfoliating soap out of something I and so many others love; coffee. And not just any coffee, good, ethically sourced, family owned and grown organic coffee.
All of the coffee I use in my coffee soap is purchased from Moka Origins. Their story is one to know, and their coffee is definitely one to drink. Moka Origins began when the owner went to a coffee growing country and saw the condition of the workers, their less than living wages, and the condition of the coffee plants. He decided to purchase land, grow fruit trees, other grains and food growing plants, gave the workers a living wage, and started Moka Origins. They grow, process, and roast their beans from start to finish. They feed the community all while creating incredible coffee and chocolate. I am not partnered with them, I just love what they do.
Many people who have purchased this soap have told me it is the only thing that has healed their eczema and the pain that comes with it. Some use it on their scalp and say it has helped their hair grow fuller. Someone else said it wakes them up in their mind and body.
Use this soap to help with itchy skin conditions, acne, as a scalp massage or just as your weekly exfoliator.
Each 5oz bar of soap is hand cut and minimally packaged to reduce waste.
Ritually made in small batches on ceded Lenape land. Always intentionally worked with, prayed over, and made with offerings and the permission and collaboration of the plants and their want to be with us in many forms.
